Composer, Orchestrator & Music Director
Blending experience across screen composition, theatre, concert orchestrations & classical piano, Cassie Parke’s musical approach is always focused on storytelling and emotion.
Cassie has composed music for TV series The Summit, For the Love of Pets (Channel 9) and Blow Up (Channel 7), feature documentary Disconnect Me (CinefestOZ, Santa Barbara International Film Festival), Audible podcast First Eat, short film Engineered for Explorers (Arksen) and Save Our Soul (ABC iView and Westpac Open Air Cinema). Cassie loves melding together orchestral and electronic sounds, through which she delves into the emotion of the narrative.
Cassie’s orchestrations have been performed across Australia, most notably the National Anthem for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2023 (also broadcast around the world), the NRL Grand Final Brisbane 2021, Melbourne Youth Orchestra, Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, NIDA, Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols Brisbane 2024, Star Struck Newcastle and George Ellis Orchestra. She has conducted the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra in concert Whitney Orchestrated, and music directed numerous youth bands, choirs and theatre productions.
Currently, Cassie is working on feature documentary Bravery and Betrayal which will release in April 2025.
In 2021 Cassie was a finalist of the Artology Fanfare Competition with the Australian Youth Orchestra. She was also selected for a mentorship with Maestra Music, which saw her build experience in music directing and lead to a two month work trip in New York!
Cassie is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Music in Composition for Creative Industries) and holds an AMusA in Piano Performance.
